Outride invests in programs that unlock the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling.
Grantmaking Approach
At Outride, we are striving to empower people to experience the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling.
We make grants to support schools and nonprofits to create and sustain cycling programs in their communities.
Grant Programs
-
Our foundational grant program for establishing a Riding for Focus site.
-
Grantmaking that supports organizations implementing programs that increase access to cycling.
Community Impact Grants support a wide range of cycling programs, including:
Rider education programs
After school programs
Earn-a-bike
Racing and development teams
Bike parks and pump tracks
Skills camps
Workforce development in the cycling industry
Community ride programs
We make grants that:
Identify specific, measurable goals and objectives that are aligned with our mission to empower all people to experience the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling
Have clear strategies or programs to achieve those goals
Support an equitable, inclusive, and diverse cycling community
We do not fund:
Political campaigns
Standalone events
Individuals
Bike advocacy/policy/lobbying initiatives
Programs not focused on cycling
Cycling programs without an intentional focus on social, emotional, and cognitive health or expanding equity and access
