Do you or someone you know have what it takes to inspire the next generation of riders? We are looking for passionate riders to grow Outride in communities across the United States and the world. Whether you commute to school or work by bike, race in UCI Mountain Bike World Cups, travel via bike packing, coach a local NICA league, or advocate for bicycle safety in your community—we have a role for you to help. Outride Ambassadors promote the values and mission of Outride to make cycling more accessible to individuals from all backgrounds.

Outride Ambassadors give youth in our programs someone to look up to. Each has a unique and powerful story of how cycling has impacted their lives - inside and outside of competition. We want our kids to see the whole picture when it comes to bike riding, and we need you to help us achieve this goal.

Bicycles have the power to make lives better. They have the power to bring people together, to motivate individuals to be better humans, and to connect kids to the world around them. At Outride we believe in granting this opportunity to all kids. We believe that bicycles not only have the ability to improve the health of our children, but also the potential to empower youth to take chances, try new things, and see the world in new ways.

Want to give back to the sport of cycling in a way you can make a difference? Or know someone who would? Check out our Ambassador program. Meet a few of our Outride Ambassadors below and be inspired by their stories to help grow a new generation of riders to change the world!

Justin Williams grew up in inner-city Los Angeles. His first bike ride was a 50 mile ride with his Dad on the Pacific Coast Highway. Yeah, His first ride! Focusing now on criterium racing, Justin has won 11 national titles. Off the bike he is still at the top of his game - he launched a fundraiser for the elite cycling team he started, L39ION of Los Angles, to support the team's initiative to increase diversity and inclusion in sport. Justin is truly fulfilling the role of being a leader in cycling and supporting youth cycling at the level it takes to motivate change. Justin shared some wisdom, “Pay attention to all the wonderful things cycling has to offer. It can take you places you never thought you’d go to.”

I support Outride and getting kids on bikeS because I know what it’s like coming from a tough neighborhood. The bike gave me the perspective, and it allowed me to escape a mindset and destiny fed to me since I was a kid. The bike gave me hope and provided me with positive influences.

“How can we all do our part to lend our unique privilege and raise up Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) voices? I do not have all the answers, and I make mistakes. But the most important thing I am doing is having hard conversations with family and friends. I expose my son to BIPOC and talk about being anti-racist with him. I am currently trying to make triathlon more inclusive. I reach out to Black triathletes or people in the triathlon community trying to serve inner city groups. I am a part of a USAT diversity, equity, and inclusion group. We are fighting to unravel centuries of laws and unconscious racism. I believe we can make a generational change and that my son will be able to grow up in an inclusive sporting world if we all continue to fight. Every person is needed to make change, even though one person alone won't be the answer. So let's do what we can, be brave, and not afraid to make mistakes.”

I support Outride because I believe in the mission of getting children on bikes. Cycling promotes physiological and mental health benefits. Because of this, it is so important to give children access to bikes.

“I Outride Blindness. I am stoked to be a part of Outride to show people that it doesn’t take perfect sight to see. My mountain bike has helped me overcome life’s challenges and has been a powerful outlet in my life throughout becoming legally blind from a genetic condition.” Blake has a level of determination and resiliency you won’t find in many places. In 2015, Blake lost his central vision making him legally blind. But, this hasn’t stopped his riding. With a guide, he has been able to continue riding off drops, down twisty trails and over obstacles. Yeah, pretty amazing.

Outride shows the positive impact a bike can have when dealing with difficulties and empowering kids and people of all ages in life no matter what your level of ability, or even your disability.
